Few days back, there was a video that went viral, about Asiwaju Tinubu marrying a new wife, a northerner who is a Muslim. The video went viral and many were already thinking out their own narrative on the video. But The All Progressives Congress APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has dismissed the story as “fake news”. The social media reported that he was set to take a new wife, but he declared that he is enjoying his marriage to his only wife, Senator Oluremi. His spokesman, Tunde Rahman disclosed this in a statement titled, “Stop the Fake News: Asíwájú Tinubu is not taking a new wife”, which was issued penultimate Sunday night in Abuja.he says,

“We have seen the fake news that has gone viral on social media purporting that the All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate, Asíwájú Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is set to take a new wife.This is what it is: fake and groundless news.”HE, Asíwájú is enjoying his marriage to his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, which is blessed with excellent children. He is not ready to take an additional wife, whether a Christian or a Muslim”,.

According to the statement, “the intention behind those peddling a new Muslim wife is not only to cause discord within the extremely peaceful family of Asíwájú Tinubu but to also create disaffection within the Christian community.”Their intention has failed. It will not cut a dice anywhere”.The statement enjoined Nigerians to completely disregard the unfounded news. “Asíwájú Tinubu is at present focused on his campaign to emerge the president of this country come February 25, 2023, in order to rekindle the hope of our people in a better, stronger, more secure and prosperous Nigeria.

This new development further strengthened and solidified the bond between Tinubu and his wife. It is one marriage that is envied by many and many would have thought with all the money Asiwaju has, and also being a Muslim, he should have more than one wife and also now that he is working towards becoming Nigeria’s President, he can as well take a younger wife.

This is not to be as Asiwaju has insisted feet that it is Oluremi or nobody. What has made this bond so strong? What has been keeping this two in love for so many years? Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate and former Governor of Lagos State is married to Oluremi Tinubu, a former first lady of Lagos State and a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, They are happily blessed with children.Their love story is one that you easily don’t hear of but we can tell you that they have been married for over 30 years.

Some time in 1987, they were both joined in holy matrimony. While young Tinubu, on that occasion, had vowed before man and God to love his wife till eternity, beautiful Oluremi, in return, had given her heart to him for keeps and this has been their story eversince.

Thirty five years after, both are still passionately in love with each other, and their marital life has been laced with more roses than thorns, thereby making them a model couple to their followers at home and abroad.

She never jokes with the things of God and you cannot find her being late to church”. Also the former First Lady has revealed some qualities of Asiwaju which has made their marriage work.

At an event, beautiful Oluremi was said to have described her husband as “a lion in politics, but a lamb in marriage; a master of deliberation, but a partner at home; a man of testimony and a faithful servant of God.”Similarly, Tinubu reportedly described his wife as “as a good mother, a loving wife, an excellent listener and a good homemaker.Also this 2 who rarely grant interviews about their marriage have one or two times spoken about it, For instance, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, spoke about her husband during their 25 years anniversary and their love life. When asked What pet name does Asiwaju call her,she said,He has always called me Remi, but now, he calls me mummy and I call him daddy. My husband is very down to earth and not the lovey-dovey type. He is a soft man, though he hides his emotions. On several occasions, he forgets my birthday. He even does funny things on Valentine’s day because he knows I like Valentine’s.! But it is different with this man. I have a lot of people who share him with me.

He knows how sensitive I am to such things. So, he tries to bend backwards in his own way. I believe there is a strong love between both of us and I also subscribe to the saying that love suffers long and conquers all things. Even when I advise couples, I always emphasize that love endures and has to be made strong.She also talked about whether it was love at first sight when she met him,”The first thing to know is that attraction brought the two of us together. Though I didn’t remember who he was any more, my sister tried to remind me. I saw his eyes and thought he has very kind eyes. That was one of the things that attracted me to him. I believe that from the eyes, one can know the mind of a person. I think he got me with his eyes; they were very kind and penetrating eyes and that was how we started. He was serious about his job and had lofty plans about the future. He didn’t say things you would hear from most guys when he met me. He just said: ‘I don’t have a lot of money, but I love to help people.’ So I thought that we had to cut the chase and was ready to settle down for the real business. I just thought that somebody was trying to introduce me to a journey and I concluded that it was a journey I wanted to be part of. I am generous in my own little way and from that angle, I thought it would be quite interesting to go along with.

For over 3 decades, their love is still waxing stronger,day by day.
