Francis Okeowo, popularly known as FRANSAX is an indigene of Ogun state, Nigeria. From humble beginnings, Francis discovered his passion for music and the power of the saxophone. Fransax, the gospel minister and musician, has led a truly extraordinary life filled with passion, purpose, and a deep connection to his Christian faith. From his early days, Francis knew that music was his calling, but it was through the soul-stirring melodies of the saxophone that he truly found his voice.
He attended Merit International school and his secondary school in Medal Merit high school, in Lagos Nigeria. Francis began a career in Computer Science after graduating from the prestigious Lagos State University of Science and Technology. He later began working with Surgecom Networking Company, where he worked as a technician. He then moved into various roles within Computing hardware and software.
His journey of faith and music began after a time where he fell in love with Christ and decided to make music that touches hearts and uplifts spirits. Francis discovered his love for music at a young age. He would spend hours either in church or immersed in the captivating sounds of gospel records, often listening to likes of Harold Rayford, Donald Hayes, Gerald Albright, and Michael Akiode.
It was during his teenage years that Francis first picked up a saxophone, and from that moment on, he knew he had discovered his instrument of choice.
With countless hours of practice and unwavering dedication, Francis honed his skills on the saxophone, drawing inspiration from gospel legends and infusing his own unique style into every note he played. His music became a vessel for spreading love, joy, and the message of faith to all who had the pleasure of listening.
Fransax has released two gospel medleys so far, “Praise Expression” and “The Sacrifice.” They are both danceable pieces, infusing popular African percussive gospel songs.
What sets Fransax apart is his ability to infuse his music with an infectious sense of joy, love, and gladness. With each note he plays, he creates an atmosphere of pure bliss and uplifts the spirits of those who listen. Fransax’s performances are nothing short of magical. Whether he’s playing at church, intimate gatherings, weddings, or large-scale concerts, his melodies have the power to transport listeners to a realm of pure happiness. Fransax’s talent and dedication have earned him a devoted following both in Nigeria and the UK.
Beyond his musical prowess, Fransax is an IT Analyst. He uses his platform to share the message of God’s love and grace. His faith is the driving force behind his music, and he firmly believes that through his saxophone, he can bring healing, comfort, and spiritual awakening to those who need it most.
Francis is also known for his warm and charismatic personality. He exudes positivity and radiates an infectious energy that draws people to him. His genuine love for his craft and desire to spread happiness through his music make him a truly remarkable artist. Francis has made a profound impact on thousands of lives by leading them to Christ through his music.
His love for humanity extends far beyond the stage, as he has actively engaged in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives back in Nigeria. During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, he dedicated himself to providing food to the less privileged and supporting hospitals in various ways. In recent times he has continued to support local charities and missions in the UK and back home in Nigeria.
Fransax’s journey is a testament to the power of faith, perseverance, and the transformative impact of music. Other than playing the sax, Francis also writes and composes songs. He’s currently working with well known producers in Nigeria and the UK to make his own music, as he continues to create melodies that touch lives, inspire hearts, he hopes to make a positive difference in the world.
