Ooni Of IFE, Oba OGUNWUSI Unfolds Plan
On Tuesday II February, 2024, Simpli Homes and Properties launched Ojaja Park Estate Phase II at Alagbaka area of Akure, Ondo State.
The organisation launched the Ojaja Park Estate Phase II alongside with His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ooni of Ife, Oba Joseph Adebayo Adewole Owa Ajero of Ijero Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II Deji of Akure, and other dignitaries.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, is a member of the Global Real Estate Institute.
He is also a certified member of The Institute of Directors and a member of the institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
His Real Estate involvement has elevated him to the position of the Director on the Board of Imperial Homes Mortgage Bank Limited (formerly GTHomes). At the launching of Ojaja Park Phase 2, Ooni of Ife gave a speech and he revealed the reason behind the setting up of Ojaja Park and others like Ojaja Mall, Ojaja Resort etc.
“We have Ojaja Park in Akure, we have Ojaja Resort in Ile-Ife, we also have Ojaja Mall in Lagos, we have Ojaja Mall in Osogbo, and many more”.
Here is Ooni’s speech: I greet everybody, especially the youth in Akure and all over Nigeria. I want to thank God Almighty for their lives. We are making another statement today that it is a day we talk about you and providing enabling environment for Nigerian youths. You can imagine we have this all over Nigeria in local and development areas.
We will not have restive youth anymore, we will have youth we can engage easily. This project will draw people from the diasporal the way to Akure. A lot of people asked me why Akure but I am Ooni of Ife. What is driving me is Development any where not only in Ife, not only in Ondo State. We are still going as far as Eastern part of the country, we are going to the North. We are going everywhere.
As Nigerian youth can be engaged.
And I always tell them that I am not driven by the money or wealth but I am driven by the success that comes out in everything. It is very important for us to know that it is a new phase for traditional institution as Kabiyeesi Ajero as said.
Many dignitaries are here Kabiyeesi Ajero is here, Kabiyeesi Olowa is here on behalf of all the traditional rulers in this country. No more sitting at home. But I just want the youths to get better. In those ancient days we can do that but things have changed. Anytime I am in the midst of this youth I am always very happy. This is what is giving me a lot of energy to do things like these and I am so thankful to another youth, the CEO of Simpli-Mii Homes, a lady like no other that likes to do wonders. She is the one coordinating each and everyone of us as far as development is concerned here and today we are opening the pillar section of Ojaja Park Phase 2.
On this note, this project again is dedicated to all the youth. Make sure you do it well and let us learn how to improve better. This is not about us spending dollars, it is naira that we are spending here and it is built by Nigerians and Nigerian youths will always be proud of one and other.
On this note this project is dedicated to you Kabiyeesi. Ajero will bless it and then we will cut the tape. Congratuilations and God bless all of you”.
A few months back at the launch of the Ojaja Park, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife gave reasons why he set up Ojaja park in Akure and other state.
Ooni said “We won’t continue to cry over spilled milk. We know that we have housing deficits in the country but we need to make do with what we have to get results. We need to buy Nigeria, we need to produce in Nigeria, including our housing needs.
“Our project here is a city on its own. It is 100,000 square meters, and we are trying to showcase what is possible in Nigeria. Practically, everything you see here, we know where it came from in Nigeria. So, our own mantra is at least 90% of things that are made in Nigeria will be used, because a lot of people probably think we do things that are of inferior quality. No, it’s not true and today is the official showcasing of Ojaja City to the world.”
The monarch said “the official showcasing is to actually let everybody that matters in this country to know that whenever there is a will, there is a way.
“A lot of good things can happen in our country and if we believe in ourselves, like this typical project, if we believe that Nigeria and Nigerians can do it, then our deficit of housing will continue to reduce gradually.
“Here is an integrated city that you don’t even need to go out. We have everything here, we have a five-star hotel here, game center, children’s park, we have a shopping mall here, we have park, we have school, we have residential estates.
