Africa’s biggest marathon game, the Lagos city Marathon is set to commence on Saturday, February 9, 2019, and this year’s event promises a new dimension with more innovative features as well as top elite marathoners featuring.
The big news is that one of Nigeria’s leading Real Estate company Revolution Plus Property Development Company will be playing a mojor role in this year’s event, as it has assured athletes that it will do everything within its power to ensure that the event is a massive success.
Revolution Plus, Nigeria’s leading giant in Real Estate in 2018 signed a partnership contract with the marathon organizers for a five year period to the tune of 500 million naira.
Managing director Revolution Plus Property, Mr Bamidele Onolaja revealed to Sports247.ng that his organization has set plans in motion to ensure that every participant at the event gets a filled time. “This is one event that has been able to capture the gaze of the world and this edition will not be different. We at Revolution Plus have set plans in motion to ensure that every participant gets a great and rewarding experience.”
This year’s edition of the Lagos City Marathon will see a rise in high profile athletes including 35 Gold, 13 Silver and 12 Bronze label runners from Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea already registered to be part of the annual event.
The Marathon is set to start by 7.30am on February 9 at the national stadium Surulere Lagos with over 4,000 registered athletes
Participants driving are advised to park their vehicles at the Teslim Balogun Stadium or the National Stadium as most roads around the start area will be closed
