Smailz Radio, a media company that has been operating since 2016, has recently made the transition to terrestrial broadcasting. The National Broadcast Commission (NBC) has granted the company a license to operate as Smailz Radio 98.7 FM. This general news and entertainment provider, located in the Arepo suburb of Ogun State, has officially launched its radio service.
The station, founded by a media personality, provides a variety of entertainment, national news, and current affairs programs to showcase African culture and traditions. The programs are presented in Yoruba, English, and pidgin, the local franca. After completing test transmissions, the station is now in full commercial operation as of October. The founder also mentioned that listeners can access live audio/visual feeds through the website www.smailz987fm.com, their Instagram handle @smailzradio, or by downloading their app on any smart mobile phone.
