– Reflects on Her Acting Journey
At the recent TAMPAN Board of Trustees (BOT) event, veteran Yoruba actress Ayandotun Emmanuel, popularly known as Ayoka Ologede, extended her warm wishes to City People Magazine on its 28th anniversary. She took the opportunity to reflect on her acting journey, sharing insights with the magazine’s publisher, Dr Seye Kehinde
Ayoka Ologede recalled how her acting career began in primary school and how her family’s background in drumming and stage performances inspired her to pursue the arts. After finishing elementary school, she naturally moved into a career in acting, deeply influenced by her cultural heritage.
She also fondly remembered her time in baptism school, which further fueled her passion for performing. Ayoka Ologede expressed her gratitude to City People Magazine for the support extended to her in her career, praising the magazine publisher, Dr Seye Kehinde for his kindness and support for the entertainment industry.
She also attributed her career milestone to meeting the legendary Hubert Ogunde, which helped elevate her status in Yoruba theatre.
