How They Run Our Daily Manna Ministry
For worshippers at the Daily Manna Ministry in Lagos, one narrative that has shocked them for long is the manner the founder, Rev.Kwakpovwei and his wife, Ejiro have been running the Church almost 24 hours a day for so many years now, using the same template and still waxing strong. Infact some of the worshippers say it would be interesting to find out if indeed another church in Nigeria follow the same pattern of the couple in the running of their church.
Rev. Kwakpovwe started Our Daily Manna in 1993 as two printed prayer sheets for members when he was going through personal setbacks. He was later led to convert it into a daily devotional booklet. On 7 July 2013, he was ordained as Bishop by the United Pentecostal College of Bishops USA/Nigeria.
His wife, Rev. (Mrs.) Ejiro Flora Kwakpovwe (nee Igugu) from Ughelli, Delta State, gave her life to Christ in 1982. The union between the shepherd of The Manna Prayer Mountain Ministry and Flora was legalized on June 30, 2000, at the Ughelli North Local Government Registry, Delta State, after traditional engagement in 1999.
Reports have it that it was Rev. Ejiro who gave the name to the popular devotional – OUR DAILY MANNA. What Bishop Kwakpovwe Does: Founder and Presiding Authority: He is listed as founder and senior pastor of Manna Prayer Mountain Ministry Worldwide and General Overseer of the interdenominational arm.
Author and Content Creator: He authors Our Daily Manna, described as a globally circulated daily devotional booklet containing daily Bible reading plan, inspirational messages, daily prayer points including ‘dangerous prayers’, testimonies and prophetic declarations. Ministry sources say his mandate is to provide daily practical life stories, inspirational Bible expositions, breakthrough prayer points, song and strong prophetic declarations.
Anointing Services and Pastoral Care: He oversees the annual religious programme tagged World Anointing Night which was “streamed live in more than 200 countries” in February 2018. The ministry calendar runs two major World Anointing gatherings – January (after a 21-day fast) and July (after a 14-day fast) – where he is described as personally anointing attendees. At the Lagos Mountain, those seeking personal prayers and ministration with the Bishop can do so every Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..
Humanitarian Vision: He established the welfare arm Mercy Week, an annual two-day medical outreach providing succour to hundreds of the less privileged with a medical team, and is President and Founder of the Dream Centre (Nigeria), an initiative with a “vision for widows, widowers, the emotionally bruised, divorces, drug addicts, ex-convicts, the sick and such alike”.

Official profiles consistently give her three formal titles:She is the Managing Director of the daily faith lifter and daily terrorist of Satan/his cohorts, OUR DAILY MANNA (ODM) WORLDWIDE, Assistant General Overseer of MANNA PRAYER MOUNTAIN INTERDENOMINATIONAL and also Managing Director, MANNA CHARITY FOUNDATION and MANNA RESOURCE CHARITY FOUNDATION is a strong pillar, a visionary and a wonderful planner who complements the efforts of her husband by coordinating all other affairs under the MANNA PRAYER MOUNTAIN.
In practice, that translates to: Managing Director of ODM Worldwide: She is the national Co-ordinator and Managing Director of Our Daily Manna, responsible for the printing, publishing and global distribution network. Early on, it was sold and distributed mostly by ministry members who had no job but used it as a means of survival, and today it is distributed worldwide by local and international distributors, sold in churches, bookshops, streets and street corners, hospitals, prisons, orphanages, business centres and all corners of the world. Assistant General Overseer: She preaches, leads firebrand prayer sessions at World Anointing Services, and coordinates pastoral programs across branches. She is a dynamic preacher, evangelist, philanthropist and humanitarian.
Charity and Social Impact Lead: As MD of Manna Charity Foundation and Manna Resource Charity Foundation, her stated interests lie in the promotion of the rights and dignity of the poor, disadvantaged and most vulnerable members of the society.
She believes that the primary calling of a woman is to help her husband accomplish whatever work God has committed into his.
That division is why ODM grew from two sheets of paper in Lagos into a quarterly devotional read in over 100 countries where the ministry has branches, with accounts and charity arms running in parallel.
