•Details Of The Classy Event In LAGOS

It was a fun-filled outing for guests on Friday, 5th November 2021, when a glamourous burial party was staged for Alhaja Silifat Abebi Ojubanire who died at the age of 88 years, earlier in the year. The burial party which was organised by the deceased’s children took place at Canaan Land Event Centre, 10 Limson Road (Beside River Valley Estate Gate), Ojodu, Ikeja, Lagos State.

The event which was done amidst tight security had guests first taking pictures at the Red Carpet section beside the entrance of the expansive hall. And, on walking into the very cool ambience the hall provided due to the air-conditioners which were working at a high tempo, guests took their seats at well-decorated tables and chairs allocated to them. Meanwhile, the music of the artiste of the day, King Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe Marshal popularly known as K1, kept playing in the background from the DJ in the hall.

After being served chilled table water and soft drinks, guests were thereafter served different kinds of delicacies as requested from the menu. And that was how the tone was set for the party proper. By the time K1 stepped into the hall to take the stage, all the guests who dressed mainly in the greenish Ankara Aso-Ebi chosen for the event were already in the mood to dance. And, without further ado, K1 began to perform on stage.

After entertaining the audience for some time, the King of Fuji music began to invite the children of mama to the stage to come and dance with their guests. And, the 6 children of the deceased who danced one after the other included: Alhaji Taofeek Ojubanire, Alhaja Safi Shodunke, Alhaja Lateefat Seriki, Olori Mudrakat Macaulay Layinde, Alhaja Surah Afolabi (USA) and Alhaja Kafila Mushafau. One other child of the deceased, Alhaja Surah Afolabi, who lives in America, but could not make it home for the burial party.

Meanwhile, in the course of the partying, guests were also offered all sorts of finger foods and barbecued fish as refreshment while the party went on into the late evening. And, by the time K1 dropped the microphone after giving one of his best performances in recent times, it was well written on everyone’s face that they have had a great time at the well-organised party.

Some of the special guests that attended the event included: Alhaja Bola Giwa, Hon. Omititi, Alhaji Wale Saubana Balogun, Hon. OSMAK, Alhaji Wole Carew, Alhaja Kafila Omowunmi Amodemaja, Alhaja Morufa Obanikoro, Alhaja Sherifat Watergate, Prince Aliu Aganran, Alhaji Omo Mumsie Elelubo, Alhaja Afusat Williams, and Alhaja Shadia Animashaun. A lot of society women stormed the party. It is to be expected. Olori Mudrakat and her 2 beautiful sisters are businesswomen. While Olori Mudrakat sells Fabrics and Jewellery, Alhaja Latifat Seriki is a big dealer of Coca-Cola, and Alhaja Kafilat Mushafau deals in frozen foods, both of them in Mushin.
