Friends, colleagues and well-wishers are already jostling for Aso-Ebi, which goes for 80k and 100k respectively.

The pretty actress in an interview with City People’s BIODUN ALAO revealed how she has been in the real estate business for over 5 years ago, but her movie career took basically most of her time coupled with her constant trip abroad, but now, she is finally settled and ready to launch her real estate company officially. Then she equally spoke about how she was able to put up the mansion in 3 months with 300 million naira. Below are the excerpts.

How excited are you with your latest achievement?

I am really excited and grateful to God Almighty for everything. Though many don’t know that real estate is a business I do besides acting though it has been on a low key, I have my own clients, I buy and sell properties, I have built a lot of houses for clients and it is a business I have been doing for over 5 years. But this particular project I just finished is for me, I just decided to do something for myself this time around. I am also going to use this opportunity to showcase what I do to lots of people, though a good number of people know I do this, but I will be launching my real estate business officially alongside the house warming ceremony, I sell lands, build houses, this is just a branch out of many things I do.

What is the name of the company?

It is called Simline Properties.

How did you come about that name?

I coined that from my daughter’s name Similoluwa, I have always been in love with that name, and I feel it is most suitable for my brand.

Do you wish you had gone into real estate before acting?

Nooo, if I have to come to this life again, I will always want to be an actor. I will like to be a celebrity I love everything about my career.

How do you cope with other side attractions that come with being a celebrity?

For me, I will say, I am used to the celebrity lifestyle, I started acting when I was very young and started experiencing all that way back, so I am used to it. I live my normal life and always make myself happy, I am not the type that gives too much attention to side talks at all. I play with everybody and live my life to the fullest.

How do you feel about the fact K1 will be performing at your house opening?

I am really excited about that because K1 is a very powerful and highly respected musician. A lot of people can attest to the fact that when K1 performs at events, he carries everyone along and there is no single dull moment with him on stage both young and old get along with his music.

How long did it take you to build your mansion?

It took me 3 months to put that masterpiece together. Normally, when I buy properties I demolish to build to my taste, it is a normal thing for me, but for this particular one, I didn’t demolish them at all. The only thing I did is that when I give particular instruction on how to build a particular thing and afterwards I realise it didn’t fit my taste perfectly I always come up with new ideas to upgrade, at least to fit in into what I want exactly.

What is the worth of this particular?

So far, it is worth 300 million, I put in so much into it, because I want people to see what I can build and start patronising me like I earlier said, though, I have been into real estate for years now, but this is just to launch myself officially into the market because many don’t know I build and sell lands.

It took me 3 months to put everything together, when I look at the house again, I always give myself a tap on the back that I actually did well. Because honestly, it is not easy, I just came back from a location and will be going back to another one tomorrow, it is not like there is money in acting but it is something I have a strong passion for, and I can’t just relax and don’t go to location.

I am using this house opening as a contact point to showcase what I do in real estate. Many see me on screen, but now am all out for my real estate Simline Properties. Gone are the days movie stars especially actresses want to stick to their crafts alone, now everybody has a side hustle, and as for me real estate is my side hustle and this time around, I am not building to keep, but building to celebrate.

How come many don’t know about your real estate business for so long?

First and foremost, I travel a lot it is always back and front. So I am always not stable while doing it. Secondly, I like to deal with clients personally. I don’t want any complaints but rather a perfect job for my client. Now I am fully back in Nigeria and I have all the time and that is why I am launching it.

How easy is it going to be for you combining acting with the real estate business?

It will be easy like I have been on location and will still be going back, and still concentrating on the company. That is why I always advise ladies that when you are ready to have babies, have them back to back, so you can have enough time for other things, like what I did, now I have enough time for my career and business though my support system is there, my mum and relatives who help me out and take care of the home front. Also, my kids are grown and they are okay, now I am a hustler building my business empire.

You are one of the very hardworking stars in the industry and you have been consistence, how do you do it.

I think, the energy is from above I can’t just sit down and be idle, I like to always get busy and do something very tangible.

Real estate is a male-dominated industry and requires lots of capital to run a big one at that, how do you intend to cope?

Yes, I know and I also understand it requires lots of money to start building houses to resell and that is the main reason I am launching my company, so people can see what I was able to build in 3 months with 300 million, though we can still achieve lots of houses with lesser capital, it all depends on clients budgets.
