Dr. Habibat Adeola Balogun and Dr. Samod Gbolahan Sanusi had their Introduction/Nikkah ceremony on December 9th, 2023, in a unique virtual wedding ceremony that brought together their families and friends from different parts of the world. The couple, who currently live in Canada, exchanged vows in an event that was held at the Oluwatoyin Lion Activity Centre, Ibeshe Road, Ikorodu, Lagos
The ceremony began with an opening prayer that set the tone for the solemn and blessed occasion. The Holy Quran was recited, adding a spiritual dimension to the proceedings. The families of the couple were introduced, highlighting the coming together of two different backgrounds to form a new family unit.
A thought-provoking lecture and Aqidu-n-Nikaah followed, which added cultural and religious significance to the ceremony. The newlyweds were showered with prayers and blessings by everyone present.
The wedding concluded with a closing prayer that sealed the union in the hearts of those attending. Despite the physical distance, technology played a crucial role in uniting loved ones and friends who virtually participated in celebrating the joyous occasion.
